I'm Just A Bill.....sitting up on Capitol Hill.
Those of us who grew up in the 1970's remember the short animated educational clips that were broadcast during our Saturday morning cartoons. The one I remember the most is "I'm Just a Bill" that explained how a bill becomes a law. The series was called Schoolhouse Rock.
Well, the music and stories from the series was turned into a musical. The show features a nervous school teacher who is nervous about his first day of school. As he tries to relax by watching TV, he is reminded how he can win his students over using imagination, music and some of the beloved Schoolhouse Rock songs.
Canton High Drama Club is proud to present Schoolhouse Rocks! on Saturday May 18 at 2:00 pm at Canton High's Morse Auditorium.
The show is tailored to young audiences and is only about one hour long. It is sure to entertain kids of all ages, along with their parents who may remember the songs such as "Conjunction Junction", "Lolly, Lolly, Lolly" and "Verb: That's What's Happening."
If you are the parent of a young child, this is a great opportunity to expose them to the performing arts in a setting geared specifically towards their age. And, they may just learn a thing or too as well!
