Canton MA Food Pantry Needs You

The Canton MA Food Pantry needs your help to fill its cupboards to help those Canton MA families struggling to make ends meet.The Canton MA Food Pantry needs you now more than ever!  With $8.7 billion being cut to the SNAP program (aka food stamps) across the country via the Farm Bill, struggling families will be turning to places like the Canton MA Food Pantry to help fill the void left by the budget cuts.  I know how wonderful members of our Canton MA community are when it comes to helping their fellow man.  That's why I'm asking for you to help the Canton MA Food Pantry fill their cupboards so that no one will have to go without a meal.

Each month, the Canton MA Food Pantry sends out an email to let its subscribers know what items are most in demand at that time.  The list changes from month to month.  If you would like to subscribe to future newsletters, just send them email at to let them know that you'd like to be placed on their email list.  This month's most in demand items are:

  • Non-perishable items
  • Cereal
  • Diapers
  • Cake Mixes
  • Juice
  • Hamburger Helper-style box meals
  • Milk (dry/evaporated)
  • Pasta Sauce
  • Peanut Butter
  • Jelly & Jam
  • Toothpaste
  • Shampoo/Conditioner
  • Feminine products
  • Depends
  • Laundry Detergent
  • Bar Soap
  • Mouth Wash

Any Canton MA resident who would like to donate can drop their items off at the following locations:

  • Canton Food Pantry (960R Wasington St) - Most Mondays 7am to 8:30am, every Tuesday and Wednesday 8:30am to 9am
  • Bank of Canton (557 Washington St) - Monday through Friday 9am to 5pm
  • Canton Co-Operative Bank (671 Washington St) - Monday through Friday 9am to 5pm
  • Canton Public Library (786 Washington St) - Monday 1pm to 9pm, Tuesday through Thursday 9:30am to 9pm
  • Pratt Realtors (1475 Washington St) - 7am to 5pm daily

The Canton MA Food Pantry needs you.  I find it easier on my budget to simply add a few items from their "most wanted" list to my grocery list every week.  Then, after I put my family's food in our pantry, I take the rest to one of their drop off locations to help fill the Canton MA Food Pantry for those families struggling to make ends meet.
