The Canton MA Board of Health in conjunction with our local Fire Department, Police Department, schools, DPW and other town departments will be holding the 2014 Canton Summer Fun and Safety Fair tomorrow, May 30th at Pequitside Farm from 5pm to 8pm. As always, this safety fair will be free to the public. Since we spend so much time outside in Canton MA during the summer, the chances of getting bitten by a tick increase. Find out how to remove a tick if you are bitten as well as how to recognize the symptoms of Lyme disease. Learn how to properly use sunscreen to protect your skin (the biggest organ in your body, by the way) from the sun's harmful UV rays.
There will be several demonstrations at the 2014 Canton Summer Fun and Safety Fair about bicycle safety, pool safety, fire safety, automobile safety and water safety. All kids who arrive early can find out how they can enter to win a free bike helmet (details at the gate), with a brand new bicycle to be given away to one lucky participant courtesy of Canton Firefighters Local 1580. Check out the MY CHIP program for kids provided free of charge by the Masons and the Canton Police Department. They give a complete electronic ID profile to each participating parent which includes a DNA swab, fingerprints and dental impression to keep on hand in case the unimaginable happens and your child goes missing in the future.
Canton MA residents are welcome to attend the 2014 Canton Summer Fun and Safety Fair.
