They were looking for their first home, hoping to buy something in advance of their upcoming fall wedding. They wanted something with character and not too far from family but also within commuting distance from Boston.
Their timing was perfect as we found this historic Norton home that had both the character of an older home but updates of a newer one. It had been on the market for a while as mortgage issues plagued three prior buyers. Right after we saw it, the listing expired so we were not competing with other buyers - but the listing agent let us know that it was still available for sale as the owners had already moved.
