Last Minute Summer Camp Ideas in Canton MA

Last Minute Summer Camp Ideas in Canton MA
swimmingTuesday is the last day of school!  Did summer sneak up on you?  Are you still looking for a few things to keep your kids busy this summer?  Well, there are still some options open!
  1. Canton Academy:  Run by the Canton Public Schools, Canton Academy offers a variety of enrichment programs that range from art classes to robotics and everything in between.  Programs vary by age and are for children entering grades 1-8. There are some programs still open but you need to sign up soon!
  2. Summer Music Camp:  The Canton Public Schools Performing Arts Department is once again offering a summer music camp from July 9 - July 19th.  They are offering a string program, concert band, jazz band and chorus programs.  Programs are available for students entering grades 4-9.  It's not too late to sign up!
  3. Summer Dance Camp:  The Hazel Boone Dance Studio is offering a variety of dance camps for children from ages 3 and up.  Programs are divided by age.  No experience necessary for younger students.  Camps are in August - just about that time when the kids start to get "bored."
  4. Canton Recreation Department:  The Town of Canton offers a wide variety of summer programs through the Recreation Department.  Swimming lessons, Dolphins swim team, Day Camp, Sports Camp, Theater Camp and Playground Activities are just a few of the things lined up to keep your kids busy this summer.

While most kids (and adults) look forward to some down time, it's always nice to have one or two scheduled activities throughout the summer.  It's not too late to sign up for many of the activities listed above!

Happy Summer!

WOW! Christine, I didn't realize that your kids were still in school. Our kids have been out since May 31st. Now, this a great idea for some summer fun and activities for them. I know many parents will want to sign their kids up soon.

Jerry....well, we don't start school until right after Labor Day so while your kids will be going back sometime in August, ours will not be back until September so it all balances out!  There are lots of things to keep kids entertained around here so hopefully some parents will find this information useful!

Summer sure did sneak up on me Christine, since my kids aren't in high school any more I seem to have lost that sense of time that my schedule used to be arranged around.

Christine, we've been out of school for a month! You must start back much later that here.
