Canton MA Halloween Parade 2012

Canton MA Halloween Parade 2012

Fall is in full swing here in New England with gorgeous leaves all around.  That can only mean one thing - Halloween is around the corner!

One of the nice things about living in a smaller town like Canton MA are the annual traditions. it is time once again for the annual Halloween parade through Canton center.  This year's parade will be on Sunday October 28th at 1:00 pm.

Sponsored by the Canton Recreation Department the parade starts at the Bank of Canton parking lot and continues down Washington Street and ends at Canton High School.  At the end of the parade, the recreation department provides refreshments and entertainment, including a DJ.  It was always a fun event to participate in when my kids were little.  It is a nice family event and sometimes entire families dress up in costume.

Not into the whole costume thing?  Then stake out your spot along Washington Street and watch as the costumed kids and adults walk by!

Luckily we can get the Canton MA Halloweed Parade in before Hurricane Sandy heads our way!

The annual Halloween Parade in Canton MA is one of the many things that makes Canton a great place to live.

Hi Christine, Let's hope and pray that you can get through your Canton MA Halloween Parade before that hurricane comes your way. Have a Great Weekend!

Hi Christine, like Jerry said; we hope Sandy doesn't rain on your parade.

There is nothing any cuter or more fun to watch is seeing kids being and enjoying kid stuff. Be safe during the storm. We missed it this time in Jacksonville Beach, FL

Thanks everyone!  It's not raining here yet so the parade is going to go on full speed ahead!  It looks like whatever we get from Sandy will clear out by Halloween so we should be able to get trick or treating in too. :)

That sounds like so much fun. Our elementary schools always do a small version of this around the neighborhoods.

I'm sorry to hear that it began raining at 1:00.  I hope it was light rain.  What a fun event for families!

Christine:

I love seeing the little ones with their cute home made and store bought costumes.  They are so adorable.

Hi Christine,

What is a nice tradition, a Halloween parade. I hope they going to be able to hold it this year with the hurricane on it's way.
