Congratulations to the New Owners of 6 Old Wolomolopoag Street, Sharon MA

Another Satisfied Buyer: Congratulations to my clients who closed at the end of August on their purchase of 6 Old Wolomolopoag Street, Sharon MA

(Yes....I am late in posting this!  As for the ultimate question "how do you pronounce that street name?  It is pronounced phonetically - exactly as it is spelled!)

These clients found me through a Google search at the end of May.  Originally from Pennsylvania, this couple had re-located to Massachusetts to be closer to their adult sons and grandchildren.  They had been renting for a while, but their son and daughter-in-law were buying a home in Sharon - and they wanted to live near them.

Welcome to Sharon MAIt took a little bit to find the right mix of what they wanted.
They certainly did not need as large a house as they used to have.  However, they still wanted room to entertain family and friends, as well as have room for the grandchildren to play and visit.  A large, updated kitchen was important, as was a yard with space for both a garden and family, plus proximity to hiking and outdoor activities.

We looked at a number of homes in Sharon and surrounding towns.  Some were too large.  Others not large enough.  Earlier in the spring, I had shown the house at 6 Old Wolomolopoag Street to other clients.  They were not interested and the house went under agreement.  When it came back on the market shortly after, I knew it would be a good option for them.  Located very close to where their son was moving (but not TOO close),  with easy access to Sharon's Lake Massapoag and Borderland State Park, I knew the location would work.

This Sharon Massachusetts home had three bedrooms, two and a half bathrooms, an updated and large open kitchen and a finished basement that was perfect for a playroom for the grandchildren and an office or exercise room for my buyers.  At 1800 square feet of living space (2200 with the finished basement), it was, to quote Goldilocks "Just Right".

This home was originally listed in at the beginning of June at $549,900.  By the time we saw it later in the month, the price had dropped to $535,000.  With strong buyers who were willing to wait until the end of August to close, we were able to negotiate the price to $511,000.

Congratulations to my Sharon home buyers who are starting a new chapter in their lives! Do you want to be my next satisfied client?

Congrats on the recent sale.  I have tried and tried to pronounce that street name. What a tongue twister.

Great job Christine and congratulations to your Buyers.  I think the real skill here is getting that spelling right.  Personally I prefer Main St, Elm St, Oak St and the like, but I am not as smart as you, hehe.

Chris and Larry.....say it along with me....  Wolo - molo - poag! That last syllable is pronounced more like "pog".

It's Native American I believe....we have a lot of "poag" names in the Canton/Sharon area - Ponkapoag, Massapoag, Wolomolopoag and Old Wolomolopoag!

That's some street name, and the owners must be delighted with your services and their sales price!
